The Eastern explanation for how Acupuncture works is that the life energy flowing through the body (termed Qi and pronounced “chee”) can be influenced and balanced by stimulating specific points on the body. Western science describes acupuncture points as areas of high electrical sensitivity. Inserting needles at these points stimulates various sensory receptors. This, in turn, activates the nervous and immune systems, motivating the body to heal itself.
Our acupuncturist has been certified as a licensed acupuncturist by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Our acupuncturist also holds certification in Clean Needle Technique, CPR, and the Egoscue Method as a Personal Alignment Specialist.
Our acupuncturist practices Traditional Chinese Medicine at Whole Body Health. Each appointment may include acupuncture, Chinese herbs, supplements, nutrition, cupping, electro-stimulation and magnets.
